Wednesday 22nd January	Back to Basics - A refresher on routine operations and shortcut keys.
Tuesday 4th February	How to Surf - Using Internet Explorer with hints on favorites (sic) and using the Google search engine.
Wednesday 19th February	Future Developments - Where's IT going? A look at the future presented by Ian Greenslade of IBM.
Tuesday 4th March	Viruses, how to avoid getting them and how to avoid spreading them.
Wednesday 19th March	Filing Systems 1 - Using Windows Explorer - A step beyond putting everything in My Documents with hints on saving files so that you can find them again and using MS Backup.
Tuesday 1st April	Email and Usenet - Demonstrating conventional and web based email, and Usenet (including the Google archives).
Wednesday 16th April	Word Processing 1 - Using MS Word - basic operations, formatting and tables.
Tuesday 6th May	Image resolution - Selecting appropriate settings for various purposes and optimising scanned or digital camera photos for email and the web.
Wednesday 21st May	Filing Systems 2 - Partitioning a hard drive to separate programs from data and making a system recovery disc.
Tuesday 3rd June	Spread Sheets 1 - Using MS Excel - basic concepts, formulae and layout.
Wednesday 18th June	Housekeeping - Keeping the place tidy, throwing out the junk, defragmenting and updating Windows.
Tuesday 1st July	Word Processing 2 - Using MS Word - More complex layouts, imported graphics and text boxes.
Wednesday 16th July	Alternative Browsers - A look at Mozilla and Opera.
Tuesday 22nd July	Visit to the Village Computer Club at Walberton. Marion Bruce is giving a tutorial on image processing. Directions are given on their website.

Wednesday 20th August	Desk Top Publishing - MS Publisher (John Beard).
Tuesday 2nd September	Photoshop - Image enhancement and manipulation using this industry standard high end graphics program (Peter Astley).
Wednesday 17th September	Scanning - Using a scanner to import images and the use of character recognition software to convert pictures of text into editable documents.
Tuesday 7th October	Computer Aided Music Creation - The artist, photographer and composer Rex Stapleton demonstrates the process and plays samples of his works.
Wednesday 22nd October	Downloading - Finding device drivers and programs, and installing them.
Tuesday 4th November	CD writers - Discussing the merits of CD-R and CD-RW with demonstrations of Nero to make data and audio CDs.
Wednesday 19th November	Spread Sheets 2 - Using MS Excel - creating graphs, multiple sheets and sorting.
Tuesday 2nd December	Colour Matching - discussing the challenge of making the screen and printed document appear the same (Peter Astley) - followed by mince pies .
