Community Transport

Description

Volunteer drivers use their own cars to help senior residents, who may have difficulty in using public transport, to get to essential appointments such as hospital, doctors and dentists.

For those who have difficulty in using private cars, we have a purpose built vehicle with its own luxury wheelchair with fitted headrest.

A modest charge is made to cover expenses.

Where

Volunteering

Please join our band of dedicated people, many of whom have been serving the local community for many years. Meet others who value your help and know that you are making a very worthwhile contribution to village life. We always need volunteers who can help one or two days a month. Call Mike Clenshaw as above.

Expenses of 12p per mile are paid.

"Most helpful for elderly people like me with no transport and no relations nearby "
